Practice questions, mark favorites, and review wrong answers in the Review tab. Take timed mock exams from the Exam tab. Reference materials (Writing Templates and Speaking Topics) are available in the Profile tab.
No. The app is fully offline. All question banks, mock exams, listening audio (read aloud via the built-in iOS German voice), and reference materials are bundled with the app. No Wi-Fi or cellular connection is required at any time.
Listening questions use the system's German text-to-speech voice (de-DE) built into iOS. Each listening prompt can be played up to 2 times. After answering, the transcript and explanation are revealed. If no German voice is installed on your device, you can download it from iOS Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices → German.
All practice records, wrong-answer logs, favorites, and exam history are stored locally on your device using Apple's secure sandbox, encrypted with CryptoKit. No cloud upload, no account registration, and no analytics are involved.
Goethe A1 Prep is a one-time purchase app managed by the Apple App Store. On a new device signed in with the same Apple ID, simply download the app from your purchased apps list. No in-app purchase, no subscription, and no restore button are needed.
Go to Profile → Settings → Reset All Progress. This permanently clears all answered questions, wrong answers, favorites, and exam history. This action cannot be undone.

By downloading, installing, or using Goethe A1 Prep (hereinafter referred to as "the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please delete the App from your device.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on iOS devices that you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial study purposes.
Study Features:
All features are unlocked with a single App Store purchase. There are no tiers, no subscriptions, and no in-app purchases.
5.1 Purchase Model
The App is a one-time paid download on the Apple App Store. There are no subscription cycles, no auto-renewal, no hidden fees, and no in-app purchases. Once you download the App, you have permanent access to all features on the current device.
5.2 Transaction Processing
All payments are processed securely by Apple through the App Store. We do not see, store, or transmit any of your payment information. Apple's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy govern the purchase transaction.
All intellectual property rights in and to the App and its content (including but not limited to question bank data, interface design, textual explanations, icons, writing templates, and layout) are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App (including but not limited to exam failures, loss of visa application opportunities, loss of study time, or data loss). The App is provided "as is" without any express or implied warranties.
